Riverland Riding Academy
Riverland Riding Academy opened in October 2009 as a purpose built teaching and training facility. Since that time our services have expanded to include a wide range of specialist services and agistment along with the facilitation of regular clinics.
Our onsite instructors are accredited by Horse Safety Australia and are continuously learning by attending training days, clinics and educational seminars to ensure you get the best possible coaching we can provide.
We offer rider tuition to new riders of all ages and those riders wishing to enhance and develop their skills. With a focus on correct training principles and with the welfare of the horse in mind we seek to give our clients a better understanding of equitation and practical horse management.
We love seeing others enjoy horses the way we do. With that in mind we have carefully selected our school horses and have spent the time to make sure our facilities are safe and suitable for the purpose of educating and facilitating.
At Riverland Riding Academy we want to help you become the best horse person you possibly can!
Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls- they give us hope!
Riverland Riding Academy offers a safe and friendly learning environment!
A healthy and enjoyable way to improve your physical fitness and emotional wellbeing!
ur aim is to ensure riders become competent and confident horse people, both on the ground and in the saddle.
We teach from beginner to competition level and focus on safe handling and riding practices at all times.
Lessons are available on well trained school horses or you may bring your own horse.
If you have a specific discipline or area of interest we are happy to work toward that with you.
We also provide:
Weekends and public holidays
Lessons available by appointment only
By appointment only for riders with their 'own horses'.
Unfortunately due to the need to be in close contact with beginners during the teaching of skills ie: grooming, saddling, bridling and some of the aspects of riding - we have elected to suspend 'Riding Lessons' on our School Horses and Ponies.
COVID 19 restrictions and rules are not very horse riding friendly for our learner riders.
We hope to resume our normal lesson offering soon.
