Riverland Riding Academy

Riverland Riding Academy opened in October 2009 as a purpose built teaching and training facility.  Since that time our services have expanded to include a wide range of specialist services and agistment along with the facilitation of regular clinics.

Our onsite instructors are accredited by Horse Safety Australia and are continuously learning by attending training days, clinics and educational seminars to ensure you get the best possible coaching we can provide.

We offer rider tuition to learner riders over 10 years of age and those riders wishing to enhance and develop their skills.  With a focus on correct training principles and with the welfare of the horse in mind we seek to give our clients a better understanding of equitation and practical horse management.

We love seeing others enjoy horses the way we do. With that in mind we have carefully selected our school horses and have spent the time to make sure our facilities are safe and suitable for the purpose of educating and facilitating.

At Riverland Riding Academy we want to help you become the best horse person you possibly can!  We teach and coach riders.  We help horses navigate their way in a human world.  We help people with a dream, achieve their dream.  We nurture the 'need' to ride.

To train a rider or a horse it takes a lot of energy and emotional input from the coach.  If you want to become a horse person or a better rider, we will enjoy helping you.  To become a rider it is important to take the time to establish the necessary basic skills and knowledge.

Riding isn't easy. It takes years of dedication for most people to become competent.
It is a great passion and develops into a lifestyle, rather than a hobby or interest that can be picked up and put down as the desire takes you.

Being involved with horses requires the participant to overcome fears, confront personal issues and also requires a considerable commitment to fitness.  Be prepared to be challenged!

Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self esteem. They provide peace and tranquillity to troubled souls- they give us hope!
